Morgan Dollars
1879-CC $1 MS63 PCGS. Normal mintmark. Low on bullion, the Carson City Mint could only strike 756,000 silver dollars in 1879. This is a visually compelling example with a razor-sharp strike and vibrant, frosted surfaces. A cluster of small abrasions on Liberty's jawline and in the field beneath accounts for the Select Uncirculated technical grade, although the eye appeal easily exceeds that designation.
