Peace Dollars
1924-S $1 MS65 PCGS. This satisfying Gem has alternating ice-blue and straw-gold toning. It is a lustrous and attentively struck example whose shimmering surfaces lack conspicuous contact. The San Francisco Mint struck nearly 60 million silver dollars between 1921 and 1923, but in 1924, their output dwindled to little more than 1.7 million pieces. This date is elusive in Gem condition and rare finer. PCGS lists five higher-grade examples (10/17).
