Saint-Gaudens Double Eagles
1925-D $20 MS61 PCGS. CAC. More than 2.9 million 1925-D twenties were minted, but most were melted a decade later. Large denomination gold experienced almost no circulation during this period and was mainly coined for foreign trade and federal reserves. This piece, with brilliant and frosty yellow-gold luster, shows a few scattered marks on each side, mostly hidden in the design motifs.
