Buffalo Nickels
1914-S 5C MS65 PCGS. A remarkably well-preserved example, even for the Gem grade level. Satiny surfaces deliver lovely lavender and champagne hues without distracting abrasions. The strike is bold but slightly uneven, with the right-hand rim on both sides incompletely defined. A pair of short die cracks enter the bison's head from the rim at 9 o'clock. The Indian's profile is strike doubled. Finer 1914-S Buffalo nickels are elusive and priced accordingly.
