1971 5C No S PR69 Deep Cameo PCGS. Ranked 30th among the 100 Greatest U.S. Modern Coins (2011), only 1,655 Jefferson nickel proofs were reportedly struck without the S mintmark. About 400 examples are known, including fewer than 50 pieces with Deep or Ultra Cameo contrast. This pristine black-and-white specimen is fully struck, as expected, without a lick of color. A monumental modern rarity in this top grade. Population: 18 in 69 Deep Cameo, 0 finer (10/17).
