Early Half Dimes
1795 H10C V-4, LM-10, R.3, XF40 NGC. Prominent vertical and diagonal file marks on the obverse remain from the hand of a Mint adjuster, who found that the planchet weight exceeded Mint standards. This nicely detailed Flowing Hair half dime displays pleasing silver-gray surfaces with ancient gold and gunmetal-blue patina. Struck from a late die state, with a rim cud over TY of LIBERTY and star 9. Census: 2 in 40, 11 finer (10/17).
