Proof Seated Quarters
1869 25C PR64 PCGS. Briggs 2-B. A wide stripe of golden-tan patina horizontally bisects the obverse and confirms the originality of this nicely mirrored example. The surfaces do not reveal any mentionable hairlines. The Philadelphia Mint struck only 16,600 Seated quarters in 1869, and the 600 proofs are often used to represent this issue in date sets.
