Bust Half Dollars
1826 50C O-118a, R.1, MS63 PCGS. This sharply struck and lustrous Select Mint State example of O-118a shows the diagnostic die cracks that traverse the top of the reverse legend. The stars are mostly well-formed and snug to the milling. The first A in AMERICA is higher at its base than M and TAT in STATES are nearly joined at the bottom. Blue and amber-gold toning provides strong eye appeal, and marks are absent aside from a few tiny ticks. The variety is readily available in most grades, but seldom so nice at the MS63 level.
