Bust Half Dollars
1827 50C Square Base 2, O-112, R.3, MS61 PCGS. Intermittent shades of slate-gray accent the lustrous, silver-gray surfaces of this scarcer Overton-112 variety. A sharply struck example, with all of the obverse stars showing full centers and only slightly drawn to the rims. A diagnostic die line to the right of the shield apex helps confirm the variety, as does joined bases of AT in STATES and the bases of TED in UNITED which are close to touching. The C in 50C is overly large.
