Reeded Edge Half Dollars
1837 50C GR-7, R.2, MS62 PCGS. The Inverted G variety where the C in AMERICA looks like an inverted G. Fairly well struck for the variety, with the reverse rotated 45 degrees clockwise. Although not a rare variety, this one is extremely popular with collectors, and it is the only instance we know of with this particular die cutting blunder. This lovely Mint State example has satiny silver surfaces with brilliant luster beneath rich, golden toning.
