Reeded Edge Half Dollars
1837 50C GR-19, R.3, MS62 PCGS. A die line from the neck into the field above the right (facing) wing and extension of crossbars from the shield into the left wing help identify this scarcer variety. A reddish hue lies beneath dappled, olive-gray color on the obverse of the present richly toned example. The reverse displays less red and more gray with bright silver sheen peeking through. Sharply struck although from worn dies, this lustrous and original coin shows few marks and plentiful eye appeal.
