1799 $1 7x6 Stars, B-10, BB-163, R.2 -- Obverse Graffiti -- NGC Details. VF. Bower Die State III. Deep grayish-ebony toning in the fields contrasts with light, tan-gray shades on the raised devices. Light pinscratches in the obverse field may be the initials "H" and "R." We note a V-shaped planchet flaw on the reverse rim at 9 o'clock. This is an ancient-looking BB-163 that has seen its share of use over the past 200+ years.
