1876-S T$1 MS64 PCGS. Type Two Obverse and Reverse. A recent survey of 787 auction appearances of 1876-S Trade dollars revealed that only 105 of those were Type Two/Two examples, and that just two of the 105 graded finer than this example. Housed in a green-label PCGS holder, this untoned Choice Mint State piece has satiny silver luster and excellent design definition. This is an elusive variety in a high grade destined for a specialized collection.
