1878-S T$1 Doubled Die Reverse, FS-801 MS62 PCGS. Strong doubling on the entire left side of the reverse includes the legend, motto, arrowheads, and 420 GRAINS -- a scarce Cherrypickers' variety, challenging to find in Mint State. Silver luster glows softly beneath a natural speckling of moderate lilac-gray toning with glimpses of gold at the outer margins. The strike is reasonably sharp throughout both sides. Housed in a previous generation green label holder.
