Morgan Dollars
1879-O $1 MS65 PCGS. The New Orleans Mint reopened for coinage operations in February, 1979 and promptly struck nearly 2.9 million silver dollars. More would have been produced had additional silver bullion been in-hand. This Gem example is brilliant and highly lustrous with partially reflective surfaces. Just a few light bagmarks limit the grade. PCGS reports just 26 numerically finer examples (10/17).
