Peace Dollars
1922-S $1 MS65 PCGS. Smooth, frosted surfaces display radiant cartwheel luster throughout both sides of this Gem 1922-S. Struck from widely spaced dies, the central hair definition and the eagle's plumage are incompletely brought up -- a characteristic of virtually all examples of the San Francisco Mint's first Peace dollar. This coin is sharper than many, with Mint-fresh appeal and only a few tiny marks. PCGS reports just 12 numerically finer pieces (10/17).
