1834 $2 1/2 MS61 NGC. Variety 4, R.3. The right diagonal of the M in AMERICA is missing, and that feature is diagnostic for the scarce variety. Stars 2 and 3 are repunched on the Large Head obverse. Both dies are perfect without die cracks, clash marks, or signs of lapping. This pleasing Mint State piece has the expected quota of trivial marks on each side, with full lustrous. The strike is a trifle weak at the centers.
