1853 $20 AU58 NGC. This early No Motto double eagle has terrific eye appeal. Coloration is medium orange-gold with occasional khaki accents over the highest points. Original luster remains within the protected areas of the design. The star radials, curls, and feathers are well-delineated with minimal friction. Chatter occurs throughout but is undistracting. An exceedingly rare Type One issue in higher grades.
