1858 $20 AU50 PCGS. The 1858 usually shows an average strike, but this AU50 example displays pinpoint detail for a Type One twenty with full star centers and radials, bold curls, and crisp feathers. Rich, orange and green-gold surfaces show a scattering of abrasions consistent with brief circulation. Double eagle production at the Philadelphia Mint was limited to 211,714 coins in 1858.
