Saint-Gaudens Double Eagles
1908-D $20 Motto MS65 PCGS. The Denver Mint coined slightly over 1 million double eagles in 1908, and about one-third of those carried the motto IN GOD WE TRUST on the reverse. While frequently encountered at the Gem grade, finer examples are rare with only 37 PCGS certified examples in numerically finer grades (11/17). This splendid example has frosty and fully lustrous light yellow-gold surfaces with excellent eye appeal.
