The Rhode Island half dollar commemorates the 300th anniversary of the founding of Providence, even though the city is not mentioned on the coin. This Superb Gem is conditionally scarce, and finer examples are extremely rare. Satiny surfaces show no abrasions and have multicolor toning that appears in concentric rings from rim to center.
