Augustus (27 BC-AD 14), denarius, Caesaraugusta, c. 19-18 BC, head left wearing oak wreath, rev., divvs ivlivs, comet of eight rays with tail at top, 3.59g (RIC 37b; BMC 326; S. 1607), toned, edge marks, obverse banker's mark, good very fine. This is the 'Julian star' which appeared in the sky after Caesar's assassination in 44 BC, and the inscription on the coin shows how it was taken as a sign of his divinity.
