Nero. AD 54-68. Æ Sestertius (34.5mm, 20.02 g, 6h). Lugdunum (Lyon) mint. Struck circa AD 65. NERO CLAVD CAESAR AVG GER P M TR P IMP P P, laureate head right, globe at point of neck / DECVRSIO in exergue, S C across field, Nero, bareheaded and cuirassed, and with cloak floating free, prancing right on horseback, holding spear in right hand; to left, behind him, mounted soldier prancing right, holding vexillum over left shoulder. RIC I 436; WCN 418; Lyon 108; BMCRE 311-13; BN 71-2; Kent & Hirmer 205. EF, lovely dark green patina. Rare and in exceptional condition for the issue.
