ARAB-BYZANTINE: Anonymous, 7th-10th century, AV burial piece (0.81g), imitation of a gold solidus from the time of Justinian I to Phocas (527-610), both obverse & reverse (facing bust // angel holding cross & globus cruciger), made for burials, pierced for attachment, presumably to the corpse, unusually fine quality, bold VF. A less attractive piece sold in Stephen Album Auction 27, Lot 129, for $550.
