TIBET: AR 10 srang (16.28g), Trabshi mint, year 16-24 (1950), Y-29a, YZM-521, L&M-662, Autonomous Tibetan issue, snow lion facing left at center with mount Kailash behind with two suns above, ornaments and two tufts of grass below, surrounded by a circle to which eight lotus-petal panels are attached, each containing one syllable of the legend dga' ldan pho brang phyo(gs) las rnam rgyal ("the Ganden Palace, victorious in all directions") // a pair of Mongooses facing a banner of victory over disharmony, the year and denomination above in two lines: lo 24 / srang bcu ("year 24, ten srang"), this surrounded by a circle to which eight lotus petals panels are attached, each containing one syllable of the legend: chos srid gnyis ldan rab byung bcu drug ("the religious and political government, cycle sixteen"), 24/22 overdate type, PCGS graded AU58, ex George Anderson Collection.
