JODHPUR: AR rupee (11.31g), Garh Jodhpur, AH(116)4 year 4, Lingen-J.01.01, in the name of Alamgir II, lovely bold strike, golden toning, 1 testmark, lovely EF, RR, ex Paul Stevens Collection. First issue of Jodhpur, authorized by Bakht Singh (1751-1752), who ruled only about 10 weeks before dying of Cholera. After his death, the formal mint name was altered to Dar al-Mansur Jodhpur. The epithet Dar al-Mansur was retained until 1869.
