BRITISH INDIA: George VI, 1936-1947, AE ½ pice, 1938(c), KM-528, circulation issue, NGC graded AU53 BR, RR. The 1938 half pice was struck in proof, circulating format, and later as a proof restrike. The circulating issue was theoretically not released for circulation, or perhaps just a small quantity escaped.
