HAMDANID: Sayf al-Dawla, circa 942, AR dirham (2.67g), Tarsus, AH338, A-749F, solely in the name of Sayf al-Dawla, without his brother Nasir al-Dawla, hitherto unreported for the Tarsus mint, and unknown for this year, some weakness of strike around the date, VF, RRR. Technically, Sayf al-Dawla claimed solitary rule only briefly in AH330, but is name on a few later dirhams until 352, all of the highest rarity.
