HAMDANID: Sayf al-Dawla, circa 942, AR dirham (3.04g), Tarsus, AH340, A-749F, solely in the name of Sayf al-Dawla, without his brother Nasir al-Dawla, hitherto unreported for the Tarsus mint (reported only for Dimashq dated 340), citing the Abbasid caliph al-Muti', bold VF, RRR. Technically, Sayf al-Dawla claimed solitary rule only briefly in AH330, but is name on a few later dirhams until 352, all of the highest rarity.
