AYYUBID: Abu Bakr I, 1196-1218, AR ½ dirham (1.39g) (al-Qahira), DM, A-C806, square-in-circle type, also citing al Kamil as heir-apparent (wali 'ahduhu) (as type #802.2), presumably also only al-Qahira mint, lightly discolored, bold VF, RRR. This is the first fractional coin of this type we have seen, newly listed for the Checklist 4th edition.
