ILKHAN: Anonymous Qa'an al-'Adil, AV dinar (3.47g), ND, A-G2132, obverse legend Allah / al-mulku lillah / qa'an al-'adil / marw, the kalima on the reverse, with a distinctly engraved form of the prophet's name Muhammad, usual weakness of strike, EF, RRR. Although undated, it should have been struck in the mid to late 670s, thus within the Ilkhan period of the "qa'an al-'adil" series. A very similar silver dirham is known, with the bow instead of mint name below the obverse, and with the name Muhammad identically engraved (Wilkes & Curtis Auction 8, Lot 560).
