Lydia, Sardes. Ca. 133 B.C.-A.D. 14 Æ (24 mm, 8.94 g, 12 h). Socrates son of Demetrios, magistrate. Draped bust of Artemis to right, bow and quiver at shoulder / [Σ]APΔIANΩN, Athena standing facing, head left, holding Nike and spear, and resting hand on grounded shield; in left field, magistrates' names: ΣΩΚΡΑΤΗΣ ΔΗΜΗΤΡΙΟY. Cf. SNG Copenhagen 500 and 502 (magistrate). Glossy dark brown patina, smoothing in obverse field. Good very fine.
