The Levant. 5th century B.C. A hoard of 'hacksilber'247.75 g). A hoard of twenty-nine pieces of cut hacksilber without design (i.e., cut from silver ingots). The total weight is 247.75 g, so several of the pieces are quite large. Two pieces are agglomerations of two and three smaller pieces that have fused together over time. An interesting assemblage. Overall a nice group, all with identical toning and surfaces.
