Parthian Kingdom. Phraates IV. 38/7-2 B.C. AR drachm (17 mm, 3.53 g, 12 h). Mithradatkart. Diademed and draped bust of Phraates IV left; wart of forehead; behind, eagle standing left placing wreath on head / Archer seated right on throne, holding bow; behind throne, eagle; below bow, monogram. Cf. Sellwood 52.36 (Ekbatana); cf. Shore 287 (w/o eagle). Unpublished mint for this variety with eagle behind throne. Grainy surfaces. Very fine.
