LYCIA. Masicytus. Augustus (27 BC-AD 14). AR drachm (18mm, 3.39 gm, 12h). NGC Choice XF 4/5 - 4/5. Struck ca. 27-20 BC. Λ – Y, bare head of Augustus right / M – A flanking two lyres, pellet between, plectrum (?) above. Troxell, Lycian League 118. RPC 3309. Obverse die flaw and flan crack at 1:00, otherwise well struck on a broad flan, with lovely gray-iridescent toning.
Old cabinet tone and extremely fine
