George VI "Pointed 7" Dollar 1947 MS64 ICCS, Royal Canadian mint, KM37. Pointed 7/Doubled 'HP' variety. A deeply toned and majestic piece, exhibiting an intensely rich color palette and blistering luster. The initials on the truncation of the neck are clearly doubled and make this near-gem an exceptional rarity. A quadrupled variety (of similar scarcity), also an ICCS MS64, realized a hammer of $4,400 in our 2017 Long Beach auction (sale 3057, lot 30513).
