Republic gold "Exposition Universelle" Medal 1878 MS64 PCGS, by J.C. Chaplain, Maier-65, 50mm. An award medal given to Henry Disston at the exposition. Obv. Ceres head left. Rev. Genuis flying left, with wreath and trumpet, with a cherub below hoisting the tablet engraved with the name, HENRY DISSTON. A small scallop privy mark is noted on the edge. Superbly defined details, with brilliant golden matte surfaces and only minor marks.
