Hohenlohe-Neuenstein-Weikersheim. Karl Ludwig Pattern Taler 1752 MS63 NGC, KM-Pn3, Albrecht 150, silver striking of the gold 8 Ducat on the 50th year of the reign of Karl Ludwig. This piece was probably a presentation issue given to dignitaries at the Jubilee celebrations. Obv. Half-length armored bust right. Rev. Seven-line inscription in cartouche. Argent-gray and russet patina sit over minimally marked surfaces. The strike is bold, with very high obverse relief, and the surrounding surfaces show delicate prooflike qualities with minimal evidence of handling. An exceptional Mint State example of this scarce presentation issue.
