Silesia-Liegnitz-Brieg. Georg Wilhelm 1/2 Taler 1675-CBS MS66 NGC, Brieg mint, KM531. Christoph Brettschneider as mintmaster. An absolutely outstanding example of this rare issue, fully brilliant with marvelously struck details. Essentially untoned, an area of russet shading is visible along the upper peripheries. The most recent sale of this type that we could locate was in a Künker sale in January of 2008 (Auction 135, Lot 1239) which was graded vz-st (EF-UNC) and realized EUR 4800 (approx. $7000).
