George III gold 1/2 Guinea 1778/7 MS62 NGC, Royal mint, KM605, Fr-361, S-3734. Fourth bust. A sharp, lustrous example of this overdate variety, with enchanting appeal and radiating brilliance. The only other example of this type which we have offered was a NGC MS64 which realized a hammer of $1,900 in our 2005 Long Beach auction (sale 378, lot 13473).
