George I Specimen 20 Lepta 1874-A SP67+ PCGS, Paris mint, KM44. An exceptionally wondrous piece, completely worthy of its Gem-plus designation. The surfaces are sublimely argent and gleam with reflectivity from being struck by highly polished dies. Classified as a specimen strike by PCGS, this piece was obviously either struck for the mint cabinet or for presentation in a special set. Whatever the case, it is certainly of great rarity in this quality and should cause excitement among those specializing in Greek coinage.
