Republic 10 Centavos 1878 VF35 NGC, KM41. Lovett type. Obv. Liberty standing facing, head right, holding banner and resting elbow upon column to right. Rev. Eagle standing facing, head left, with coat-of-arms on breast and wings spread. An exceedingly rare type---and a possible pattern issue---this enchanting piece saw its fair share of circulation, but nevertheless remains problem-free. This represents the only example certified by NCG and the first appearance of the type at auction which this cataloger could encounter. An exceptional Latin American rarity.
