Philip V Real 1732-Mo Fine Details (Environmental Damage) PCGS, Mexico City mint, KM75.1 ("Rare"). A very rare example of this first milled real of Mexico, struck without assayer initial, and redesigned mid-year to include the 'F' assayer to the left of the crowned shield and an 'I' for the denomination on the right. As is the case with essentially all survivors, this example displays evidence of environmental exposure, but granularity is minimal, and design detail is pleasing, with sharp legends and a nearly full PLUS ULTRA on the pillar scrolls. Only slightly lesser than the only other example we've sold, that piece (XF Details - Saltwater Damage NGC) bringing $5,875 as part of the famous Isaac Rudman collection in 2016.
