Republic "Hookneck" 8 Reales 1824 Do-RL AU55 NGC, Durango mint, KM376.1. Submissive Snake/Large 'Libertad' variety (incorrect on NGC insert). Very collectible quality for this transitional issue, with nearly full detail over the central motifs and an attractive mixture of olive, gray and gold over the surfaces. Overall, very clean for the grade with a few marks in the field below the snake's head being the only notable instance.
