Republic gold Proof 20 Pesos 1915 PR63 Cameo PCGS, Philadelphia mint, KM21, Fr-1. A classic 20th century rarity, there have been only a handful of instances of this type coming up for auction over the last decade. Indeed, only a combined 15 examples have been certified by NGC and PCGS, and it is estimated that less than 50 pieces were actually minted in total. With satiny surfaces and lightly frosted devices, this is a great example of a type that is coveted by all collectors of 20th century world rarities. Also, of course, appealing to US Collectors due to the fact that it was minted at the Philadelphia mint and designed by celebrated coin engraver Charles E. Barber.
