Republic gold Piefort Essai "Bazor" 100 Francs 1929 MS62 NGC, Paris mint, KM-P300, Maz-2531B. Plain edge. By Bazor. A rare double-thick presentation of this beloved art-deco issue, struck in bright lemon-colored gold and exhibiting definite cameo-like characteristics, with significant reflectivity in the fields that results from obviously polished dies and raised design elements that appear delicately frosted. Seemingly very choice for the grade with no unsightly marks over the surfaces, only light handling that is difficult to see with the naked eye. A real treasure for the French specialist or collector of renowned world coins.
