Republic gold "Bazor" 100 Francs 1929 MS62 NGC, Paris mint, KM880, Maz-2342, VG-5235. Mintage: 50. By L. Bazor. The very rare first date for this classic Art-Deco "Bazor" design that showcases a wing-headed Liberty atop the obverse and an olive sprig, wheat ear and oak branch over a radiant sun on the reverse. Appearing far more seldom than the "Essai" of the same date, with a estimated survival of less than 15 pieces. This piece, lightly handled as the grade suggests, remains rather attractive nonetheless, with light tone over the surfaces and significant reflective gleam remaining in the fields.
