Hamburg. Franz I gold 5 Ducat (1/2 Portugalöser) 1745 MS61 PCGS, by P.H. Goedecke, Gaed-1846, on the Coronation of Emperor Franz I. Obv. Laureate and armored bust of Franz I wearing the order of the Golden Fleece. Rev. City view of Hamburg and the Alster basin. Superbly engraved, with high relief and prooflike fields. The luster is full, with an orange-golden tint and the surfaces exhibit moderate handling marks. A very rare issue and the only example of this type certified by either PCGS, or NGC.
