Württemberg. Wilhelm I "Free Trade" Pattern Taler 1833-W PR64 PCGS, Stuttgart mint, KM-Pn36. Plain edge. An extremely rare pattern issue struck in high-grade silver on a heavy planchet, exquisitely toned with gunmetal and graphite coloration, and accented by dappled rainbow hues in the protected areas. The designs are bold--up to the highest point--and beautifully styled, showing a standing woman at center, holding a book and caduceus, flanked by a man reclining to her left and a cornucopia to her right. A total stunner from all angles, and even more impressive once in hand.
