Württemberg. Wilhelm II gold Proof 20 Mark 1914-F UNC Details (Rim Damage) PCGS, Stuttgart mint, KM634, J-296. Head of Wilhelm II right. Rev. Crowned Imperial eagle with date and value. The devices are boldly frosted, with superbly contrasting, deeply mirrored fields. The overall appearance is that of a Gem example. Only very close examination reveals a slightly dinged, and smoothed, obverse rim between two and four o'clock. A very rare issue in Mint State, and extremely rare in Proof. We can reference no Proof examples being sold at auction since 2009.
Ex. B. Max Mehl with the original envelope.
